We are offering a series of small, relaxed family camps, with activities to take part in and the freedom to totally immerse yourself in a natural environment. Hosted and facilitated by Dan Walker you will spend time with your kids, explore the woods and nature, meet the wildlife and cook outdoors.
The family camps are designed to provide a reconnection to the elements and the wilderness: making fires, building shelters, foraging for food and observing at close hand the natural habitat. Being in the woods brings a sense of wellbeing and relaxation and provides a complete and refreshing break from work, the city and modern life.

Family camps at Crépan are a terrific way to spend time together as a family in a ‘back-to-nature’ environment that is both fun and challenging for kids. To fit with the tailor-made nature of these camps, numbers are strictly limited and allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
Camps usually run for 2 or 3 days. They can take place from Friday afternoon to Sunday/Monday lunchtime although other periods/days can be arranged.
Prices depend on the length of the camp, numbers and accommodation but as a very rough guide assume around €150/person/day which includes all activities, meals and accommodation. For a budget please call us on +33 6 17 78 79 22.
We reserve the right to cancel camps.
If you have any questions, please contact us by phone (+33 6 17 78 79 22) or by mail (info@crepan21.com).
Family Camp Life
The camps are informal and easy. There is no obligation to take part in any of the activities– feel free to take off for a dip in the river or take one of the many local hikes. Each morning and afternoon there will be activities to take part in depending on which family camp you choose.
The core activities of each family camp include shelter-building, fire-making, outdoor games, hikes and night walks and storytelling around the camp-fire. There will be whittling, bush-craft, marshmallow roasting and treasure hunts. There’s a river for wild swimming and an organic vegetable garden for snacks.
We can also organise:
– Tree climbing/Accrobranche (harnesses and ropes with a qualified instructor)
– Horse riding (a day circuit on horseback with a picnic lunch).
– A visit to the local bee-keeper including seeing the hives and tasting the honey.
Prices on request.
Weekends can also be specially designed for birthdays and special events. Please contact us for details and prices.

WEATHER POLICY
The weather at Crépan is varied and unpredictable. Please dress for the prevailing weather conditions and remember to bring some warm clothes as it can get cold at night.

There is phone coverage at Crépan although internet access is sometimes slow. We do everything we can to make you (and especially your kids!) forget that mobile phones exist and that there is a natural world that is far more exciting!
