The Chateau de Crépan is an ancient domain set in the Burgundy region in France between Troyes and Dijon. There have been different buildings on the site since the 10th century. Dan Walker bought the domain in 1997 and has been slowly restoring the different buildings and managing the 11 acre park and forest.
There is also a working vegetable garden, fruit and nut orchard and a truffle plantation.
The forest is a sanctuary of flora and fauna and is bordered by the beautiful river Ource and a smaller millstream. There is a wonderful wild swimming area with a shallow area for kids and deeper areas for swimming and diving. The forest is full of fun nature activities including a giant swing and a slackline. There are lots of nature walks and other activities in the valley including a frog sanctuary and a horse-riding centre.
